French clay is known for it's antiseptic and anti inflammatory properties, and drying out thee skin. It is regarded as a useful treatment for stimulating the skin and removing impurities from the epidermis (outermost layer of skin cells). The clay works by adsorbing impurities from the skin cells, by causing dead cells to slough off, and by stimulating the flow of blood to the epidermis.  This is blended with tapioca flour which is highly absorbent which is ideal for nappy rash. The addition of the essential oils add a carmative and soothing effect.
